In the clouds
The leafs of the water lilys is like flying UFOs in the sky.
We are sitting by a small lake in the deepest forest in Värmland, the surface of the water is like mirror and the whole lanscape is looking in it.
A fish is swimming by and it´s so calm and beautiful.
My photo ”Alone” has been accepted to the art exhibition Skaraborgssalongen 2017.
I am really glad to be a part of this art exhibition, in the town where I was born, so it will in a way be kind of back to the roots.
It’s a photo taken with an analogue 35mm camera and Tri-X 400 film during a visit in the forest outside of Mariestad earlier this year.
”Alone” is a part of my project ”Breathing in the silence” consisting of analogue black and whites nature and landscape photos.
The exhibition ”Skaraborgssalongen 2017” opens up the 18th of May at Skövde Art museum and will hang there all summer until it closes the 19th of August.
So if you are on a roadtrip through Sweden this summer, I really think you should take a break here and pay it a visit!
A while ago I wrote an articel for an magazine at work and did an interview with the actor Jonny Lundgren who also is the clown called Bulgo.
I also got the opertunity to follow Bulgo when he was visiting children at a hospital.
And it was very touching to see the sensitive connection between the children and Bulgo, how their mood changed and a glimt of joy lightened up in their eyes, even though some of the children were really sick.
It was a really nice experience to meet Jonny (…and Bulgo) and see what he ment for the children he visited.
The artist Björn Molin
Björn Molin is an abstract expressionist artist who lives in Värmland, Sweden.
I have meet him several times and he is a very nice and kind person.
The art he creates is beautiful, emotional and powerful, and for the most of times in black and white.
Visit his webpage and take a look at his art work molindustries.se and you can also find him at Instagram @bjornmolindustries.
Earlier this year the local newspaper VF published an articel about Björn – I huvudet på en abstrakt expressionist
In the fields
For a few month ago I bought a new camera, an Aires Reflex TLR (middle format).
The man i bought it from had taken realy good care of the camera. Some of the controls are a little stiff, on the other side has the camera not been used for 15 years, and was made in the early 1950s.
Overall the camera is in very good condition, the shutter speed works fine and it’s really nice to work with.
I also gave the man a promise that i would use the camera and give it some love and care.
Now i finaly given me the time to trie it, and also developed the first roll Tri-X 400 film (120-mm film).
I am really pleased with this fine old camera and the pictures it creates.
